Talent HQ – award-winning recruitment professionals offering talented people full time and part time jobs in Hertfordshire – considers Jeremy Clarkson “fracas”

Publish On 31-03-2015 , 1:30 PM

If you regularly read our blogs, you will know that Talent HQ gives monthly tips on how to secure aspirational full time and part time jobs in Hertfordshire. Our outstanding team of consultants are on hand to help with all stages of the interview process – before, during and after in order to help candidates acquire their dream jobs in Hertfordshire and help them to settle in.

Last month saw the very public modification to the way in which the popular BBC show, Top Gear is going to be televised. Due to former presenter Jeremy Clarkson’s much documented incident with producer Oisin Tymon, his contract will not be renewed and he will no longer hold his position. This caught our attention and got us thinking about what is and isn’t considered acceptable behaviour at work.

The BBC reports that Clarkson was suspended on 10 March, following the “fracas”. A recent article states that the row “was said to have occurred because no hot food was provided following a day’s filming”. The article goes on to say that the producer “took himself to hospital after he was subject to an “unprovoked physical and verbal attack” by Clarkson.

The Talent HQ team all agreed that threatening behaviour of any kind cannot be tolerated in a place of work. Morally, it isn’t acceptable and it could lead to staff feeling fearful in their working environment. When people aren’t happy, their productivity suffers and where possible, they leave. Of course, this isn’t good practise. It is a reminder to us all that when it comes to work, no one is indispensable, whether talented or not.

The search for the new Top Gear presenter goes on and as it does, so does our continuous search for only the most inviting full time and part time jobs in Hertfordshire.

If you are an employer with full time or part time jobs in Hertfordshire or you are a talented individual wanting to put that aptitude to use in this area, please call 01438 487260 or visit www.talenthq.co.uk today!
